whats wrong with people

People looking for people these days are easily distraught. Its too easy to disregard the opportunity for earth shattering sex, and get all . . . . lonely. Don't be lonely. Nobody wants to hang out with a lonely person, it might be contagious. Besides, people suck. So you might be better off being alone. Then again, you miss out on the sex. . . . . round and round we go. . .

in the city that time passed by

Imagine if time stood still in a whole country while the rest of the world was moving at lightspeed with technological advances compounding on each other. People can't live without HDTV, blackberries, Iphones, gmail and myspace.
In Cuba not all that much has changed. I bet Castro has a cell phone AND satellite tv, while the rest of Cuba struggles to put food in their bellies, bath with fresh water and maybe get a couple of hours of night time electricity. Yea, that Castro is a man of the people, if by people you mean his own wallet.
This is a video of Habana (La Habana if you want to get technical, Havana with a "v" if you get all spanglish on me!). It was shot in 1999, but I doubt very much it has changed since then. It is one of the greatest cities in the world. It hasn't changed since New Year's Eve 1959.

Russian Child Star in America

Fred Savage, Dakota Fanning, Haley Joel Osment, Alyssa Milano, Daniel Radcliff, and Drew Barrymore all had something in common with Azary Messerer; they were all child stars. Granted, being a child star in 80's America was probably pretty sweet, being a child star in the 1946 Soviet Union, under Stalin, probably wasn't the same. They had no cocaine, break dancing, or hair gel in 1940's Russia.
In 1946 Azary starred in a film called, "The 15 Year Old Captain". He was a child star behind the iron curtain who moved his family over to America when he grew up. Ironically in the film he played an American boy kidnapped and shipped to Africa. Seriously, Africa.
Apparently its a Russian cinema classic. Check out the video.

who are the people in your neighborhood?

The weekend is for meeting people. Silly, get to know you, chit chat can lead to sex or a fist fight. Most conversations don't go anywhere but its good to have goals. Here's a little on the scene report on how its done.

uptown nyc

Here's a little video about a boy you know living in a ghetto you don't. These days Washington Heights is a bit more "bohemian" and "gentrified" but you can still score your vice of choice on the corner, and we've got more Dominicans than the Dominican Republic. Can you say "24 hour bodega"? Respek!

the junky and the prostitute pt. 1

There is no way a semi-conscious individual can think heroin is cool. This is the story of one person who fell down the abyss, and fought the good fight to make it back. That still doesn't excuse what he did to the cat.
It is the number 1 export of Afghanistan. Hey, wait a minute, isn't Afghanistan famous for something else?
